Fine Art

Fine Art

In a world shaped by digital screens, Bockwoldt seeks moments to reconnect with the tactile discipline of fine art. Her background in traditional mediums has cultivated a deep appreciation for materiality, process, and craft. The unpredictability and physicality of pigment on canvas continue to inspire her hands-on approach to creativity, grounding her work in both precision and exploration.

Painting

One of Bockwoldt’s favorite mediums to work with is oil paint because of the flexibility and depth of color on canvas. The paint can be applied in numerous ways, from thin glazes to thick impasto. The slow process of layering paint over time adds to the richness of how each piece is unique in telling its own story.

Life Drawing

When asked about her favorite subject, Bockwoldt answers without hesitation: figure drawing. She is drawn to the discipline of observing the human form, training her eye to capture proportion, movement, and the subtle complexities that bring realism to life.

Illustrations

With ideas constantly in motion, Bockwoldt turns to her tablet to create minimal, expressive illustrations. The portability of digital tools allows her to design wherever inspiration strikes, on the beach, atop a mountain, or during a quiet evening of reflection. This flexibility fuels a spontaneous and intuitive creative process.
